Baltic Amber inspired illo

This is a piece I did as a comission for Baltic Amber Jewellers.

It was inspired by Polish Folk Art and marvellous and stunning works of Olaf Hajek.
I found some interesting facts about amber doing research for this task. Did you know that amber is sometimes confused with fossilized Sperm Whale poo. They can look confusingly same and you can tell the difference checking which one floats. Blimey.

i also found out that there is a gorgeous and rare type of Amber, which is blue (!) and can be found mainly in Dominican Republic I think.

New painting - something a little different

This is my first interior painting. Abandoned house being taken over by nature.

Prints @ London Design Week via Tinta

Tinta was displaying fine art prints at one of many London Design Week events - the East London Pop up Store.
To my absolute delight, my Etchings made it to the collection and were on display - big hearty thank you to hardworking and ever enthusiastic Georgia.

Polish Animals for ZUZU Toys

Another project for ZUZU Toys, was a delightful job. Animals are by far my favourite thing to draw!

Long-overdue Update

For the last four weeks I have been very busy with a few projects, as a result I got very lazy with blogging. But you can only put things off for so long :) - it will be a blogging avalanche here today, pinging up all the updates from the last month. Thank you for visiting!

For the starter some photos from the ABSORB ARTS open studios and Print Club's BLISTERS event a month ago. Thanks to everyone who came, it was a fantastic night!
